Application Instructions

ICSP Applications are accepted once a year. ICSP Application Form for the Academic Year 2026-2027 will become available in WorldLink starting 2/18/2026 and close on 4/10/2026.

Timeline for AY 2026-2027 Application:

​

  • February 18 Application opens in WorldLink

  • February 18 Info Session 1&2 (@ noon & 5pm) - Register here

  • February 24 Info Session 3 (@noon) - Register here

  • March 4 Application Q&A Office Hours (12:00-2:00pm) - Make a 15 minute appointment

 

April 10  Application deadline

 

Preliminary Round

  • April 10-24 Application materials review

  • April 27-30 Application materials review discussion

  • May 1 First round decision notified

  • May 4-8 Feedback period (upon request)

 

Final Round

  • May 11-19 In-person interviews 

  • May 20-22 Final decision notified

  • May 25-29 Feedback period (upon request)

​Application Instructions (Updated February 18, 2026)

​

To apply, log in to WorldLink using your ODIN account. Select "University Scholarships" > "ICSP Application" to start your application, consisting of:​​

​

ICSP Application E-Form

  • Provide your personal and academic information as well as any leadership, work, and/or culture sharing experiences you may have.​

  • Upload 2 essays and sample presentation materials:

    1. Personal Statement: Please tell us your story in a short (450-550 words) essay in a PDF format addressing each of the following areas:

      (1) How you came to be on your current journey of studying in the U.S.

      (2) Your aspirations for the future

      (3) Why you would like to join the ICSP

    2. Cultural Identity Essay: Please describe in a short (450-550 words) essay in a PDF format: 
      (1) Core values that you grew up learning about in your home community and how they have impacted your perspectives. Give personal examples. 
      (2) What you wish others knew more about your home culture and why.

    3. Sample presentation materials​: â€‹â€‹Imagine you are going to give a 5 minute presentation on a topic that is unique to your home culture and has a personal significance to you. Please prepare and upload the following 2 materials in a PDF format:

(1) 1 page outline of your presentation with main talking points for each section.  

(2) 5-7 slides that are appropriate for a 5 minute presentation for a college-aged audience.

Two Recommender E-Forms (Recommender 1 and 2)

  • When you submit the Recommender E-Form, your recommender will automatically receive an email from our office with a link to a separate E-form for them to complete. You will receive a notification email once they submit the form.

  • It is recommended that you submit Recommender forms well in advance so that the recommenders will have enough time to complete the forms. You are responsible for making sure your recommenders complete these forms in English by the deadline.

  • ​A​t least one recommender should be a staff member or instructor from a school in the U.S. 

  • At least one recommender should be from a source who can speak to your academic performance, such as an advisor or professor. 

  • Recommenders should not be:

    • someone who is outside of the U.S.

    • your peers, family, or friends

    • advisors or staff from the Office of International Student and Scholar Services at PSU.
